It was in 2023 that Unity's Dieke met Talla - a young visionairy driven to encourage the youth of Senegal with his movement SiguiDoxx which is the Wolof translation for 'Keep your head up'. Despite the difficult circumstances in his country, Talla is not hopeless.

What began as an exciting collaboration between Unity and  SiguiDoxx evolved into a turning point for both creative movements.  For Unity the start of producing and coaching in West-Africa. For SiguiDoxx the beginning of the fullfilment the dream of opening a printing shop. Read Talla's story about his journey with Unity.

"Ubuntu in Action: How Unity Helped Us Believe Again"
By Amadou Talla Gueye, CEO of SiguiDoxx (Senegal)

'Partnering with Unity was one of the most pivotal moments for my clothing brand, SiguiDoxx. At a time when no one believed in us, Unity stepped in—not just with support, but with belief, vision, and resources. That collaboration gave us the momentum we needed to elevate our brand, both in terms of business growth and meaningful social impact.

Thanks to their support, we were able to launch GTA Impression, our own printing company. It gave us the power to control our production chain, and more importantly, it allowed us to create business opportunities for others. What was once just a dream became a reality—made possible by the investments of Unity and other committed partners.

Today, SiguiDoxx is thriving. We’re reaching audiences around the world and creating a positive impact for thousands of young Senegalese.

'We continue to grow—all because Unity believed in us when it mattered most'

A special thank you goes to Dieke, Unity’s CEO (even though she doesn’t like that title). Throughout this journey, she was the incredible person I worked with closely. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and relentless drive for excellence were a constant source of inspiration. She always reminded me to believe in what we do. Her commitment was a powerful force behind the success of the Ubuntu collection.

Working with Unity wasn’t just a collaboration. It was a lifeline. A turning point. A gift I’ll always be grateful for.'
